TAGEM and Ankara University, partners of the EQVEGAN project, organized at TAGEM premises two days of training for food industry professionals on 2 and 3 October. The trainers were Ahmet Budaklıer and İlkem Demirkesen Mert from TAGEM and Ferruh Erdoğdu, Aziz Tekin and Ertan Anlı from Ankara University. The 30 participants came mainly from the food industry sector, but also from academia and Ministries.

During the training, the main project outputs and dissemination channels were presented. The training material was quite comprehensive, and the topics lectured over the two-days included meat analogues, dairy analogues, egg analogues, legume products, digitalization and automation in food industry, food legislation, sustainability, vegan diets and nutrition, entrepreneurship and soft skills.

Some attendees enriched the training sessions by sharing their experiences in the food industry in relation to the topics discussed. The interaction and networking between participants were successful and very fruitful during the event.
